“There fore go and make dis ciples of all nation s, baptizing them in the name o f theather an d of the Son and o f the Holy Spirit, and te aching them to obey every thing I have commande d you.
And su rely I am with you always, to the very e nd o f the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)
ter seeing many first time commitments at our children’s camps in the April school holidays, and
aving had the privilege of leading some men to Christ in recent times, I am passionate to keepbeying this command!
y friends, this is a HUGE task and God’s mission is global, but it will be fulfilled! It is not missionpossible; it is mission inevitable. It is a certainty. The Bible gives us a picture of its fulfillment in
evelation 7:9,
“There before me was a grea t multitude th at no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and langua ge, standin g before the throne and be fore the Lamb.”
magine. One day there will be people from every language group in the world standing before therone of Jesus.
Will our generation be the ones to fulfill this? ORWill we pass this responsibility on to someone else? Will another generation be the ones who get the privilege of fulfilling God’s greatmission?
Let it not be under our watch!! However, we can’t do this alone!
Mother Teresa aptly s aid, “ I Can Do Things You Cannot, You Can Do Things I Cannot;Together We Can Do Great Things”
od tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:9 “two people are better than one, bec ause th ey ge t more done byorking together” (NCV). When we work as a team, and with other teams, we get so much more done.o one will carry a heavy burden if each one of us does our small part. That is the reason we areartnering with YWAM, Bethlehem Tertiary Institute, Calvary Bible College and many otherrganisations which work alongside desperate families.
hrough the years, CBM has been so blessed to have such faithful supporters of the mission to whichod has called us. Thank you so much for standing with us for this next generation.ithout your prayers and financial partnership, we could not do what we do in fulfilling this Great
ommission.
nce again, thank you so much for your ongoing support. I trust as you readCBM Happenings”, you will be inspired and blessed by all the Lord is doing, as welfil His purposes and Commission.
Many Blessings,

“First Things First” training day. One participant said ofthis training, “Such an enjoyable and inspiring day. Looking forwardto the next one. Excellent speakers.”
Preschool Training There was an enthusiastic groupattending and great feedback from
veryone. After a day of focusing on teaching the young children, participantst so encouraged in this often overlooked area of ministry. It is common to hear
rticipants say that they had no idea that CBM had so many great children’ssources in the bookshop!
The team also conducted training weekends forchurches out of Auckland. The Orchard churchhosted us in Te Puke and in Palmerston North, Salt Church hosted us andmade the course available to other churches in the area. They flew our team down, complete with as many resources as the weightrestrictions would allow. It’s fantastic to see churches who value ministry to
children.
2016
Camp was full this yearwith over 50 people onsite during the weekend. There were 17 childrenand young people with
varying disabilities. To make camp work as well asit does, everyone else is there to make it a veryspecial weekend for these children. This includes
other children who come as buddies, carers, group leaders, nurse,NZSL interpreter, cooks and CBM staff. The high ratio of adults to children
creates a very caring and safe environment. Parentsare very appreciative of this.
Our theme was Superheroes which gave lots ofscope for our costumes! We taught them that Jesusis the greatest superhero of all because He actually did come to save thewhole world through His death.
We’ve also just returned from three days of teaching at Faith Bible College. The students gained new
erspective on ministry to children.

HappeningsWe had two very successful training courses in Sambalpur (Orissa)
organised by John Paul (grad.2015) and in Delhi organised by our NorthIndia coordinator, Evangeline Odyuo Koireng. The good feedback was
an encouragement, as were the many questions from the Delhi partici-
pants who came from seven states andBurma. Denis Delaney, the
chairman of the CBM Board, accompanied us to five cities to meet
ndia staff and graduates and to video them in their own settings. A short documentary on
CBM’s work in India will be available later in the year. Please let us if you would like a copy.

2016 Students We were blessed with four keen and able
students this year. Three were Indian and one Singaporean. Thefour months they spent with us in Auckland and Raglan gavethem great momentum to move to a higher level of ministry to
children and teachers as they return to their countries. They allcommented on how God had worked deeply in their own lives to
ready them for deeper ministry to those they seek to workalongside. On graduation night, we had a packed headquarters
celebrating the commissioning of our students. What a delight
to send them out, trained, equipped and full of vision!
Happenings of our Overseas Staff and Graduates
Rodney (Mumbai) and Veronica (Hyderabad) have been busythis summer running VBS programmes. “Many children came from families where the father is a drunkard and there is a lot of disharmony, unforgivenes s and hatre d. Children just poured out their hearts and prayed with ourteam.”
India
Da vid (Siliguri, NE India) is ver y thankful for the
donations that ha ve enabled him to bu y a bike to
tra vel into neighbouring villages where the
children know nothing of Christianity
and where it is unwise to take photos.

Matthias and Esther (grad.2010) continue to run successfulchildren’s camps in Tanzania, modelled on their experiences atCamp Raglan.
Vasanthi and the Singapore team (made up ofseveral CBM graduates) are kept busy not only inSingapore but also throughout South East Asia. Theyrecently trained 130 very keen people in Kachin State, northern Myanmar.Although a majority in the state are Christians, verylittle has been done with children and they have noresources, so they were pleased to receive the ‘LifeChangers’ curriculum in Burmese. By October the‘Knowing God’ curriculum will also be available.
Paul Wachira(grad.2015) reportsthat as a result ofgiving three days ofteacher training in
one Kenyan town, there has been muchfruit as the children’schurches are grow-ing numerically andspiritually throughthe discipleship programme. He has also spoken at achildren’s camp and a large children’s conference, wheremany children received Christ. Paul will be hosting us for fivedays of training in August
TRANSLATION
Would you believe, the first year of the ‘Life Changers’curriculum is now translated into 25 languages!Of course, this means an ongoing demand fortranslation of the second and later years. To add tothe later translations already done, work is currentlyunderway for Year 2 in Nepali , Swahili and Thai, alongwith Year 4 in Hindi. There is also a demand for Year
1 in Oromo, the second language of Ethiopia.Since we cannot build translation costs into the saleprice, we are dependent on PARTNERSHIP donations toundertake this work.
Most languages cost us from$500 upwards. You can bea missionary to the world’schildren in giving towardsthis need!

Our camps continue to influence and equip youngpeople. Our January camp was overflowing with 240kids! We have just finished 2 weeks of April camps, withover 200 kids. In the April holidays, 52 children madedecisions for Jesus. Jesus healed hearts andtransformed lives!
We could not have achieved this without the incredible leaders, parents andhelpers supporting us. Thank you so much to YWAM Family Ministries and YWAM
Zion and Bethlehem Tertiary Institute for joining with us, and all the other lead-ers that made up our awesome team.
We hear so many postitve and heartfelt comments from the kidswho attend camp. Here is a recent Facebook post from a camper:This young lady then proceeds to passionately pray this prayerafter her Facebook post:
