What is the implication?

P4 Subject Based Banding

To be offered Higher Chinese Language in P5, a

student must obtain Band 1 in Chinese Language

and at least Band 2 in English Language,

Mathematics and Science.

Recommendation: Only students who are strong

in writing are encouraged to take Higher Chinese

Language. Why?

iMTL Portal is an online portal which

effectively enhances teaching and

learning of language skills through

various types of activities. This will be

introduced in Term 2.

iMTL Portal Objectives:

Strengthen students’ language skills

through the use of authentic language tasks.

Students can record an oral presentation

to express their views after seeing an authentic

video stimulus.

Promote the use of MTL as a living language

among our students

P4 MTL Language and Cultural Camp

P4 MTL Language and Cultural Camp is

organised for all P4 MTL students.

The objectives of this cultural camp is to

provide opportunities for students to

experience their own Mother Tongue culture

through hands-on activities.
