without the dignity of work and have been dislocated by a technical revolution. What is worse is that tens of thousands of our countrymen are homeless. Most appalling is that our most vulnerable do not enjoy the protection of the law, and that our culture celebrates a mother’s decision to terminate the life of her child in the womb. Despite all the challenges we face as a nation, we have a reason to be hopeful. We indomitable Americans — with all of our basic goodness and chari-ty — are grounded in our common belief in God. Let us pray for our nation and for one another. May God bless you.
