• The costs of LBP are enormous and are attributed to both tangible costs (i.e. medical care and indemnity payments) and intangible costs (i.e. production loss, employee retraining, litigation)(Woolf 2003).
• In the UK, it was estimated that the direct costs of LBP were £1.6 billion and the total costs (direct and indirect) ranged from £6.6 billion to £12.3 billion (Maniadakis 2000).
• In the US, a comparative cost of illness study showed that the annual per capita health and disability costs for LBP were comparable with heart disease and diabetes in a major US corporation (Druss 2000).
• Also, LBP is one of the main causes for work absenteeism (Andersson 1999). Expenditures are expected to grow with the trend of an aging population worldwide
È necessaria:

IS ROLAND MORRIS SCORING DEPENDENT FROM PLANK?
Multiple linear regression analysis with backward stepwise elimination
Predictor variables were: duration of planks test in front, reverse, side positions (dx and sx) and ratio between frontal and reverse value.
Dependent variable was Roland Morris questionnaire score.

data reported a positive correlation between the RMQ values and the ratio Front/Reverse core stability tests values (p=0,029). Interestingly there were no significantly correlation comparing RMQ ant the core
tests separately.
