a common interest•  they can exchange

knowledge objects, best practices, and lessons learned.

A Sustainable Community of Practice

  It has:• joint enterprise • mutual engagement • shared repertoire

(routines, sensibilities, artifacts, vocabulary, styles, etc.) 

 

  Communities of practice develop around things that matter to people. As a result, their practices reflect the members' own understanding of what is important.
