Content is extensive compared to CBSE.

All subjects given equal importance.

Edge over CBSE for TOEFL, SAT etc.

Limited students at the national level.

Gujarat Board

Features:

Simple syllabus till grade 10 only.

Maximum advantage for colleges within the state.

Vernacular friendly.

Rote learning and exam/admission centric.

Difficult to move to out of state colleges.

Local entrance exams like GUJCET being phased out.
