> 01 Design and DevelopmentPlanning and preparation of the mechanical and electrical design is undertaken by a team of highly experienced designers. They design complex machines, strip feeding lines and control units; our production capability is supported through partnerships with specially selected engineering companies.

> 01 Strip feeding lines SOPREM builds strip feeding lines which include decoiling, straightening and feeding of strips up to a width of 600 mm and a thickness of up to 11 mm. These units can be obtained in long and short versions. This fully developed technique increases strip speeds and the productivity of your machine.
> 02 Accumulating linesOur linear and parallel accumulators are suitable to feed pipe production installations as well as galvanic coating plants and colour coating plants. We optimize your production process with tailor-made solutions.

Strip decoiling and strip coiling
The decoilers for vertical decoiling are
often equipped with a precision coil
mandrel with central adjustable strip
tension, recommended when using
thin and narrow strips to protect the
strip edges.
SOPREM’s smallest decoilers are
suitable for a max. coil weight of
30 kg and 100 kg respectively. Several
thousands of these are used all over
the world, especially in the watch-
making and small electronic compon-
ents industries. We also offer a wide
range of options, e.g. different loop
controls, paper decoiling and rewind-
ing as well as double decoilers.

> 01Decoiler-rewinder for a max. coil weight of 1,500 kg or 2,500 kg, including precision coil mandrel with central coil tension. We also offer options such as different drive systems, pressure arms and various loop controls.
> 02Decoiler-rewinder for a max. coil weight of 30 kg, including coil mandrel and additional paper decoiler-rewinder. This version is especially suitable to rewind pre-punched strips. The decoiler is often used in the production of small electrical compo-nents and in the watch-making industry.
> 03Decoiler-rewinder for a max. coil weight of 100 kg, including precision coil mandrel with central coil tension. The loop is controlled by a capacity sensor. The decoiler is used to decoil thin, narrow strips and is often used in the production of small electri-cal components and in the watch-making industry.
> 04Cradle decoiler for a max. coil weight of 200 or 500 kg, including two shafts, which can be equipped with abrasion resistant rubber. The spool is placed on the powered shafts. A strip straightener can be added as an option.
> 05Double decoiler with a max. load weight of 200, 500 and 1,250 kg, enabling coil handling to be significantly reduced. Small decoilers for 30 kg and 100 kg can also be supplied as double decoilers. Larger decoilers can be supplied upon request.
> 06Triple pallet decoiler with fine adjustable strip pull is suitable for decoiling thin, narrow strips. Our product range comprises single, double and triple pallet decoilers. A wide range of options allows us to supply specific client solutions.

Strip straightening and part levelling
More and more often the punching in-
dustry uses a motorized strip straight-
ener in front of the press. Straighten-
ing conserves tools thereby producing
more accurate components. As the
strip is fed over the loop into the roller
feed without any pulling force, higher
production rates can be achieved.
Part levellers can be used with lasers.
The parts cut out by laser must often
be straightened afterwards. SOPREM
has acquired the Schubert-straight-
ening-program and offers a wide
product range.
Straightening tests:
Tests are carried out prior to any ma-
chine purchase, we determine the
correct straightener size and the most
suitable straightening geometry.

The upper part of the leveller can be inclined longitudinally and trans-versally, enabling straightening of strips with wavy edges. The lower part of the leveller can be pulled out for easy cleaning of the straightening rolls.
> 02Strip straightener with 5 straightening rolls includ-ing an ultrasonic loop control. This cost effective straightener is used for straightening coil curving. As an option, the upper part of the straightener can be pulled out simplifying cleaning of the straightening rolls.
> 03Parts leveller with 19 straightening rolls with 6 mm diameter enabling straightening of material thick-nesses ranging from 0,05 - 1 mm. As an option, we offer automatic feeding and ejection of parts. This straightener can also be supplied with loop control and used as a strip leveller.
> 04Strip straightener with 9 straightening rolls and ultrasonic loop control producing an excellent straightening result. As an option we can construct the upper part of the straightener to be pulled out, thereby simplifying cleaning of the straightening rolls. Also the infeed of the straightening rolls can be motorized.
> 05Parts leveller with 23 straightening rolls with 50 mm diameter rolls enabling straightening of material thicknesses ranging from 0,5 - 8 mm. Optionally we offer automatic feeding and ejection of parts. This leveller can also be supplied with loop control and be used as a strip leveller.

Strip decoiling, straightening and feeding
If there is insuffi cient space in your
workshop, you will fi nd the solution
in the compact design of SOPREM
equipment. We combine the decoiler
with the straightener to a strip feeding
system. Optionally the straightener
can be equipped with an integrated
feed. This compact design allows you
to easily incorporate the equipment in
a cut-to-length line or in a strip feed-
ing system. The loop between the
straighter and the press is not neces-
sary in this system.
The compact designs of SOPREM
equipment are becoming more and
more popular, as they allow optimum
use of production space.

> 01Decoiling-straightening machine equipped with a decoiler and precision leveller with 19 straight-ening rolls. The upper part of the leveller can be inclined longitudinally and transversally enabling even straightening of strips with wavy edges. The lower part of the leveller can be pulled out for easy cleaning of the straightening rolls.
> 02Roller feeder with high precision can easily be retrofitted to the press. This roller feeding series ensures high feeding rates with precision position-ing. The hardened, ground feeding rolls can also be hard chromium plated.
> 03Decoiling-straightening machine equipped with double decoiler and a straightener with 9 straight-ening rolls. The double decoiler is equipped with 2 precision coil mandrels, for a max. coil weight of 1,000 kg. The upper part of the straightener can be moved to one side, which simplifies cleaning of the straightening rolls.
> 04Decoiling, straightening and feeding unit equipped with decoiler, loop cabinet, strip gripper and straightener with integrated feeder. This com-pact unit enables strip feeding of a max. width of 300 mm and a thickness ranging from 1,5 – 8 mm. After the straightener, the strip is fed directly into the press. The strip loop can be omitted.
> 05Decoiling-straightening machine equipped with a decoiler, inserting table, straightener and conveyor table. This compact unit enables feeding of strips of a max. width of 300 mm and a thickness of 5 mm. A loop is necessary between the straight-ener and the press.

Strip welding and strip accumulating
Strip feeding lines and strip accumu-
lators are necessary because of the
high production requirements in com-
pound pipe production. Non-stop pro-
duction places the highest demands
on the reliability of the strip accumulator
and the welding unit. If the fi rst strip
end welding fails, the strip accumulator
needs to have suffi cient material for
the second weld.

Wire decoiling, straightening and cut to length
Modern production companies au-
tomate wire feedings with decoilers,
straightening-feeding systems and
cut-to-length lines.
While decoiling larger diameter wires
used in the production of connecting
elements, the wire spring back must
be compensated for. For this, we re-
commend the decoiler with loop arm
and spring compensation system.
Wires with a very thin diameter, used
in the production of small draft or
compression springs, loop controls
with very low wire loads are neces-
sary.
SOPREM can supply wire decoilers
equipment for both requirement pro-
ducing improved productivity.

The integrated length measuring system guarantees repeated accuracy. The hydraulic cutting scissors ensure a straight cut.
> 02Wire decoiler with a max. coil weight of 80 kg equipped with loop control for minimum wire load. This construction is especially suitable for decoil-ing wires with a small diameter. The decoiler is often used in the spring industry.
> 03Wire decoiler with a max. coil weight of 1,000 or 2,500 kg equipped with a re-inforced loop con-trol and release spring system compensating for the wire spring back. This equipment is ideal for decoiling large diameter wires.
> 04Wire rewinder with electronically controlled lateral wire positioning. The max. load is 200 or 500 kg. This equipment is suitable to rewind wires with medium diameters and for high lateral wire posi-tioning requirements. The rewinder is also suitable for rewinding strips.
