Psykopatologi
Lära om psykisk ohälsa där fem domäner brukar påpekas:
• Manifestation – symtom, beteende, kognition, utseende…
• Förlopp – progression av problemområde, debut, prognos…
• Behandling – psykoterapi, farmakologi, kirurgi, omhändertagande…
• Etiologi – genetik, neuroanatomy, trauma/uppväxt…
• Nosologi – systematisk klassifikation
Syfte
Hur har olika läror/skolor fokuserat på olika domäner inom psykopatologi?
Hur har detta i sin tur påverkat modern syn på psykopatologi?

Vad är DSM III-5?
• Nosologiskt system
• Kliniskt instrument
• Försök att öka reliabilitet • (från början även
validitet dock mera tveksamt)
• Viktigt steg för psykiatrin
Inte?
• Bibel
• Psykiatrisk textbok
• Kokbok som avgör om någon har/lider av psykopatologi

Pluralistiskt modell
Hasok Chang (1967-)
Sida 244:
”The adoption of pluralism allows us to
actualize the full potential of epistemic
iteration by dissolving worries about whether
we are approaching the one true system.
A pluralist and pragmatist realism underlies a
mature scientific attitude that allows us to
recognize and promote progress in a variety
of iterative development patterns.”

Förslag på modern psykopatologi
Manifestation – fenomenologi + neuropsykologi…
Förlopp – epidemiologi…
Behandling – RCT + långtidsuppföljning…
Etiologi – grundforskning + psykologi…
Nosologi – DSM, ICD (alternativa nya system)
Socialt sammanhang – historia + sociologi + nationalekonomi…
Slutsats
Psykopatologi är ett komplext område som låter sig inte förenklas till en enkel monistisk syn.
DSM är ett utmärkt nosologiskt system.
Historiskt perspektiv ger en mera nyanserad och breddat inblick i psykiatrisk diagnostik.
