At Clemson...

A  student  can  buy  a  bottle  of  water  just  about  anywhere.

This  is  a  student’s  refrigerator  in  their  room.  They  have  fresh  water  “on  demand.”

Joy is getting water from the pond in front of Cooper

Library.

The water looks pretty clean.

Two women are getting water in Sudan.

The water looks dirty and is probably very dangerous to

drink.

The water in Clemson is safe to play in. However, the little boy below doesn’t have clean water to play in. He is playing in

contaminated water, there is even a rotten apple floating in it.

There is a problem...

Too many people in the world do not have

clean water.

187 children die every hour

from lack of access to clean water.

These children could be the next to die without clean drinking water.

This water could contain:-E’coli-Salmonella Typhi-Schistosoma-Cholera Vibrios-Hepatitis

Unsafe  water  causes  80%  of  diseases  and  kills  more  than  all  

violent  crimes.

88% if diarrhoeal deaths are due to lack of access to

sanitation facilities

2.6 billion people do not have access to improved sanitation

carrying the buckets can result in back problems
