Our In-class Presentations: • Include fun, hands-on activities • Are customized for each grade level • Last about 45 minutes • Correlate to standards and benchmarks • Include extension activities • Are always FREE! Our educators bring everything, make a mess, teach something, clean up, and leave only smiles (and some follow- up ideas for you). Grade 1 — House of Seasons: Students learn about the phases of water. Meets standards and benchmarks in science, social studies, and language arts. Grade 2 — Conservation Connections: Students create a river/aquifer model and learn what happens when we all want the same water. Meets standards and benchmarks in science, math, social studies, and language arts. Grade 3 — Incredible Journey: Students roll the die and move through the water cycle. Meets standards and benchmarks in science and social studies (language arts extension). Grade 4 — Dirty to Drinkable: Students make a working sand filter to clean dirty water. Meets standards and benchmarks in science and social studies (language arts extension). Grade 5 — Leaky Faucet: Students learn how little fresh drinking water we have on Earth. They measure and calculate how much is wasted from a leaky faucet. Meets standards and benchmarks in science, math, and social studies (language arts extension). Free services for teachers of grades K-5 www.abcwua.org/education ...the students are still talking about the puppet show and singing the songs. You all did a wonderful job and we just want to thank you very much.
