Note: This Slideshare Presentation is for information purposes only. It has been made in good faith and does not necessarily constitute or imply an endorsement, on the brands listed.
Jetstar (Community Page)
This is not the official Jetstar page. It has been made as a ‘Community’ and is listed with just over 1000 Likes.
Another identical page has been created with over 7900 Likes. No official credibility for either page.
It has no Corporation information in the About section.
Pages such as this are made to have you LIKE the page and then Share the information….such as this competition photo.
The URL for the Facebook Page is not official..

Look for ‘verified’ Pages that have a blue badge next to the name, these have been authenticated by Facebook.
Why do we need to check the Pages?
These Scam pages prey on the emotions that everyone would love to win a prize. The Facebook user then Likes the Page and Shares as per the instructions.
This is called a LIKE Farming-Scam. When you LIKE the page it shows up in your friends Newsfeed and if they LIKE it, it gains momentum. Once the Page gains a number of LIKES it can be sold. The action of LIKING the page also allows elements of your Facebook Profile to be seen by the page admins … and that is just not good!
