History of Freshman School

Learning Environment is either hot or cold

85% of the building is not air conditioned

Hard for students to focus sitting in 100 degree heat

Classrooms are loud due to windows being open and fans running, which continuously disrupts learning.

Environment Not Conducive to Student Learning

Standing fans are located at the end

of hallways to circulate air.

Extremely loud.

Carpet is delaminating in classrooms

The building has not had new carpet since 1972

Carpet is a safety concern due to slips, trips, and falls because it has to be duct taped down to stay in place.
