And results for thefull year show that GE Trans-portationearned$1.27billionon revenues of $5.93 billion.

Erie County government’sworkforce consists of nearly1,200 people.

It is also mostly white —and County Executive KathyDahlkemper’s administrationwants to address that.

Dahlkemper and Gary Lee,the county’s director of admin-istration, said in a recent inter-view that improving racial and

ethnic diversity and workforcetraining to deal with a widerange of cultures are amongtheirlong-rangediversityplanswithin county government.

While both Dahlkemper andLee said they are not looking toexpand the county’s workforce,both said they believe it couldbe more reflective of the com-munity it serves.
