Create a free edublog.

Scroll down and choose Edublogs Free to create a new account.
Type in a username and email address. Scroll down.
Click I Agree and
Next.
Choose a Blog Domain & Blog Title.
Complete the Human Verification and select Signup.
Go to your email to activate your account.
Click the link provided in the email to activate your blog.
Your username and password will appear and will also be emailed to you. Click Login to go to
your dashboard.
Type in your new username and password. Click Log In.

and maintain your site happens.
This is your Dashboard.
Create a Post.
Posts are daily entries. Click the down arrow to expand Posts and click Add New.
Type in a title and information to be posted/blog entry.
A url will be created for the post.
The right side of the Screen allows a user to choose when to publish the post. You can create a post on a Friday and it can post on Saturday!
Click the starburst icon to add a file to your post.
Adding or linking a file to your Post.
Click Select Files to upload a saved file to your site.
Click on the file location and select Open. The file will be uploaded to your site.
Type in the Title as you want it to appear in your post. Click Insert into Post.
The file will now be available via the hyperlink in your post.
Linking to a website in a Post.
To link readers of your post to a website, copy the URL of the website.
Highlight the text you want hyperlinked and choose the link icon.
Paste the Link URL, choose a Target (open in a new window or not) and
click Insert.
The MACUL ETLC text will now hyperlink to its webpage when clicked from within our post.
Embed a video clip into your post.
To embed video into a post, click on the HTML tab.
Go to the video you wish to embed. For CNN video click the Share button.
Select the Embed code </> icon.
Copy the embed code.
Paste the embed code into you post. You must have the HTML tab selected for this to work.
Click Publish to activate the Post on your blog.
Other Dashboard options include loading of media to your library and adding links
visible on your website.
Pages are very different from posts. Pages are usually linked across the top of your website and can only contain 1 post.
Creating, finding, & utilizing Widgets
Click the arrow to open up options under the
Appearance heading. You could choose a different
Theme (layout) or upload a custom header.
We will click on Widgets and focus on those.
Widgets can be dragged and dropped into Sidebar 1 or 2 to have them post on your site.
The Text widget allows you to paste HTML code to embed widgets found all over the internet.
After creating a voki, HTML code is provided to embed into your site. Just drag a Text widget to a sidebar and paste the HTML code. Click Save.
Same process followed to create a weather widget on your site.
