Formal launching of J.K. Gaonkar foundation trust in the distinguished presence of Shri Ramesh Sapre
(well known educationalist), Dr Narayan Desai (Principal-S.S. Angle Higher Secondary School, Mashem,
Canacona), Shri Damodar Mauzo (Well known Konkani Writer), Shri Prashant Naik (Social activist and
Chairman of Konkani Bhasha Mandal and Chairman of Shri Nirakar Education Society) and others. The
program of was largely attended by people from all walks of life, teachers, freedom fighters, students,
media persons, professionals and others. More than 200 people attended the program.

It was first of its kind program wherein about 150 patients who experienced the benefit of
homoeopathic treatment attended an interactive session with medical experts at Grampanchayat Hall,
Bethora, Ponda, Goa. The program was inaugurated by Shri Subhash Shirodkar (Former Education
Minister of Goa and The Chairman of Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College, Shiroda Goa), Dr
Dattatray Sawant (MD Pediatrics, Sawantwadi, Maharashtra), Dr Suraj Prabhudesai (MS, Surgery), Dr
Netra Sawant (MD, Gynaecology, Sawantwadi, Maharashtra), Dr Shaba Gaonkar (MBBS,General
Practitioner) Dr Rajeev Pereira (BHMS), Dr Parik (MD Homoeopathy) and 15 intern students of Shri
Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College, Shiroda Goa attended the program. In this program,
patients narrated their experiences. The general public received guidance on Homoeopathic line of
treatment free of cost. About 250 people from all strata of society participated in the program and were
benefited.

The trustees of J.K. Gaonkar Foundation trust organized a field trip to the environs of Amboli Ghat to
study rich bio diversity of the place. The team was guided by an eminent botanist Dr Balkrishna Gaude.
Total number of 15 participants took active part in data collection and analytical study. Dr Balkrishna
Gaude explained to the participants organic methods of paddy cultivation and indigo plantation.

Event Title: Visit to Natural Dye Resources

J.K. Gaonkar Foundation Trust organized a visit to Natural Dye resources. The team of trustees visited
the Natural Dye resources at Madkhol In Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. The participants also
acquainted themselves with natural methods of dye making using simple natural resources
J.K.gaonkar foundation trust organized a field trip to Saturli Hill in Gaondongari village of Canacona
taluka, with the objective of studying environmental degradation, specially the damage caused to the
vegetation and the paddy fields by rain water floods. Internationally known geologist Dr. M. K. Prabhu
and Shri Vijay Prabhu (a botanist) guided the participants. Mitigation measures to overcome the
devastation caused by the annual floods was the focus area. About 20 students, 12 teachers and 15
community members participated in the program.

One day educational seminar was organized by the trust at GVM’s higher secondary school hall, Ponda,
Goa for the benefit of parents and teachers from 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM. Dr Narayan Desai(Ex Principal
of SS Angle Higher Secondary School, Mashem, Canacona, Goa), Shri P.R. Nadkarni (Former Chairman of
Goa board of Education), Shri Prabhakar Timble (Ex Principal of Govt College Quepem and Former State
Election Commissioner of Goa), Shri T.K. Gaonkar (Ex Principal of PES Higher Secondary School
Farmagudi) and Dr Pradeep Maske (Reader, GVM’s College of Commerce and Economics) guided the
participants on the topics like study and reading habits, choice of careers and happy parenting. Over
200 people participated in the program where lunch and snacks were provided to all participants

J. K. Gaonkar foundation trust organized a two day workshop on art of compeering at Ravindra Bhavan,
Margao in collaboration with The Directorate of Art and Culture, Govt. Goa. The program was
inaugurated by Shri Sandesh Prabhudesai ( Executive Editor of Prudent Media). The resource persons for
the program were renowned television artists Smt Mangala Khadilkar (Mumbai), Dr Ajay Vaidya, Shri
Pramod Acharya, Shri Anant Agni and Shri Gopinath Gawas, The program was compeered by Shri
Navnath Khandeparkar. Total number of 78 participants from all over Goa attended the program on
both the days. Lunch and snacks were provided to all on both the days.
Event Title: Seminar on “The Art of Compering”
Date: 07th & 08th July 2012 Venue: Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, Goa
A homoeopathic medical camp was organized for the villagers of Velguem, Surla and Pali constituency.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri. Vishwanath G. Kelkar (ex Panchayat Member, Surla Panchayat), Shri
Atmaram Kudchadkar (Principal, V.S. Lad Higher Secondary School, Tisk, Dharbandoda, Goa), Shri Mohan
Nene (Ex Teacher), Smt Geeta Haldankar (Sarpanch, Velguem), Shri Dilipkumar Sahasrabuddhe
(President, Star Gymkhana) and Shri Shridhar Sahasrabuddhe (Social Worker). Free Homoeopathic
medication and consultation was provided to 220 beneficiaries. Due to large number of beneficiaries
the camp was conducted on 2 successive Sundays. Tea and snacks were provided to all the beneficiaries.

A field trip to study vocationalisation of education for self reliance. Total 8 participants studied how
students of std 8th to 10th from a residential hostel carry out horticulture, nursery work, dairy farming,
cookery, organic manure and compost making, marketing and accounting.

Date:29th May 2011 Venue: Ujire, Dharmasthala, Karnataka
Camp was held at Shriram Vachan Mandir hall at Sawantwadi. Camp was inaugurated by Dr Balkrishna
Gaude. Dr Dattatray Sawant and Dr Netra Sawant attended the camp. Total beneficiaries were more
then 80. Free consultation and medication was provided to all the beneficiaries. Tea and snacks was also
provided to all present

Date: 29th Apr 2012 Venue: Shriram Vachan Mandir, Sawantwadi, Maharashtra
A homoeopathic medical camp was organized for the villagers of Marcel, Banastari and Cumbarzua. The
camp was inaugurated by Smt Snehalata Dattatray naik (Social Worker). Free Homoeopathic medication
and consultation was provided to 50 beneficiaries. Tea and snacks were provided to all the
beneficiaries.

A homoeopathic medical camp was organized for the villagers of Khodgini, Kudenem, Navelim and Surla.
The camp was inaugurated by MLA of Pali constituency Mr Pratap Gawas, Sarpanch and Panch members
of Naveli and Surla Gram Panchayat were present. Free Homoeopathic medication and consultation
was provided to 100 beneficiaries. Tea and snacks were provided to all the beneficiaries.

Chaitanya Homeo Centre has been established in Margao which provides free homoeopathic medicines
and consultancy to patients. The centre is also equipped with library of homoeopathic books. The J.K.
Gaonkar Foundation Trust provides guidance and free medial consultation on daily basis to the patients.
Event Title: Opening of Chaitanya Homoeo Clinic

A homoeopathic medical camp was organized for the senior citizens in Margao. The camp was organized
in collaboration with Lion’s Club of Margao Free Homoeopathic medication and consultation was
provided to 42 beneficiaries. Tea and snacks were provided to all the beneficiaries.

It was second of its kind program out three conducted so far, wherein about 100 patients who
experienced the benefit of homoeopathic treatment attended an interactive session with fellow
patients. In this program, patients narrated their experiences. The general public received guidance on
Homoeopathic line of treatment free of cost. About 50 people from all strata of society participated in
the program and were benefited.
