A LIFE WORTH LIVING

EXHORTATIONS (encouragements, urgings, appeals)

1. Be agreeable

Philippians 4:2 (NIV) 2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to

agree with each other in the Lord.

Romans 12:18 (NIV) 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at

peace with everyone.

2. Be joy filled

Philippians 4:4 (NIV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

3. Be alert to your thought life Philippians 4:8 (NIV)

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,

whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.

Philippians 4:8 (MSG) 8 Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by

filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best,

not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

4. Be content - whatever the circumstances

Philippians 4:11-12 (NIV) 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content

in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

Contentment

1. Give thanks in all things. 2. Trust God - Rom 8:28)3. Be satisfied with what you have and who you are –

1 Tim 6:6-84. Live above life's circumstances. - 2 Cor 12:9-105. Become preoccupied with others - Prov. 11:24-5

5. Be close and intimate with God
