September7,2016DearKilaueaResident,Aloha!Iamwritingtoinformyouthatafterseveralyearsofplanning,HuntDevelopmentGroupwillsoonbestartingconstructiononKilaueaLighthouseVillage,a47,000-square-foot,grocery-anchoredneighborhoodcentersituatedona6-acreparcelinfrontoftheKilaueaPostOfficealongtheroadtotheKilaueaLighthouse.ScheduleOurcontractors,ShioiConstructionandKaiwaConstruction,willbeginworkonthesiteontheweekofSeptember19.Constructionisscheduledtobecompleteinapproximately14months,andKilaueaLighthouseVillagewillopenforbusinessshortlythereafter.TrafficFlowTominimizeadditionaltrafficonKilaueaRoad,vehiclestravelingtoandfromtheconstructionsitewilluseatemporaryconstructionroadthatrunsbehindthepostofficedirectlytoKuhioHighway.WewillalsohaveindividualsassistingwithtrafficcontrolonPostOfficeRoadthroughoutthedayasnecessary.
