Final Task - Storyboards

Draft 1: Steps 1 - 4

Draft 1: Steps 5 - 8

Draft 1 Analysis

• Our first storyboard attempt was our basic attempt of trying to get our thoughts of what wanted to film on to paper. As this was our first attempt it doesn’t contain a great amount of detail. The interviews aren’t included as we wanted to have an idea how long the documentary would be without them and then we could base the timings of the interviews around the original documentary time. Within the next two storyboards we will have more analysis about sound and lighting.

Draft 2: Steps 1 - 4

Draft 2: Steps 5 - 8

Draft 2 Analysis

• The second storyboard is similar to the first storyboard as both group members produced a storyboard because we wanted to see what both members thought the documentary could look like. Doing this allows us to put both storyboards together to create the final storyboard from both ideas. We came to a group decision that we needed to include the interviews within the final storyboard and we needed to increase our level of terminology when talking about sound, lighting and camera angles.

Final Storyboard Analysis

• After Jamie and I had created two successful draft storyboards we came together and thought of the possible ideas that we could use in our final storyboard, we decided that we would put in the interviews, detail about sound and lighting and generally putting more detail within the pictures on the storyboard. Also we focused on keeping the documentary within the five minute regulation time. We are happy with the final storyboard as it meets the all requirements needed and we now have a clear understanding of what we want to film.
