►Specific requests from firms when new location isneeded specific surveys to analyse the impact on staff mobility
 Raise awareness about environmental issues
2006 : EMERGENCE OF A COMPULSORY FRAMEWORK
► Air Protection Plan in IDF : WTP mandatory for big companies
AN INCENTIVE FRAMEWORK UNTIL 2006

COMMERCE: Work Travel Plans
ECOMM – 6/05/2010
► A specific methodology by ADEME and ARENE
► Accompanying measures (financial aids fromADEME)
► More than 250 surveys made on request

ECOMM – 6/05/2010
SINCE NOVEMBER 2007 FROM LOCAL TO REGIONAL SCALE
A PROACTIV APPROACH
the COMMERCE project really boosted a new strategy
But also 2 other levels :
the revision of our Regional Master Transport Plan
the legislative framework becoming more restrictive regarding air pollution (Grenelle law, climat plan, qualityair plan)

ECOMM – 6/05/2010
THE ADDED VALUE OF
1/ An ambitious programme of actions : guides, seminar, local forums, communication, trainings…
2/ Within a specific timeframe : 3 years
3/ With the caution of European commission
A key factor for an exemplary mobilization of partners
9
COMMERCE: Work Travel Plans

A big increase of WTPs :
from 49 to more than 120 WTPs within 1 yearrepresenting about 280 000 employees
But also…
A lack of means to deal with 900 000 companies and 5 M of employees
A strong need to transfer know- how and expertise to territorial structures at a local level
RESULTS
