Math has always had my heart and my fascination with geometry is what opened my exploration into
design and architecture.
Over the last 7 years, I have explored many avenues in the design field. I have held positions that have
fostered my skills in drafting, interior design, graphic design, and architecture. I adapt well to new
environments and see my career as a continuous learning experience to better my practice.
I would love to be part of a firm which would enable me to explore the technical side of Architecture,
yet would allow me to exercise my Interior Design experience. I excel in model building, space planning,
and graphic layout. I take pride in my organization skills which allow me to work quickly and efficiently.
Aside from design, I continue my green efforts through cycling. I enjoy being outdoors and
discovering the natural landscape right outside the city that a car ride cannot reveal.

1CLIFF SIDE EXHIBIT SPACE
This conceptual development for this partifcular project was based on a system of rules. These rules dictated length, width, and repetition for each piece as well as it’s position. Several sections from the first model (top row) were taken and overlayed. The second model (bottom row) possess these sections. The grey tower is representative of the earth. It delicately encapsulates the model while paying attention to the level of density of the wood formation. The density of the wood formation rises as it comes into contact with the earth. This model was then interpreted into architecture.
LONGITUDINAL SECTION
Concept development.
The first model’s composition was manipulated by a complex algorithm using multiples of 3 as a repetitive element. The eye is quickly drawn to the frame-like components of the model, which became the precursor for the second model and the concept for the exhibition space.
The frame is used in several ways throughout the second model, lending itself to be characterized as a solid shield as well as a transparent framework.
The exhibition space uses the different styles of frames to separate the more intimate areas from the public areas. The 2D planes become catwalks that float above the main gallery spaces, while the boxes allow for a more intimate setting in the lounge off of the entry, and the side gallery where exhibit material more sensitive to the elements be displayed.

2KINETICS MUSEUM
Being a museum of kinetics, k.MOK was designed based on a rule of kinetics; for every action, there is a reaction, which has a result. The arrangement of the spaces were a reaction to the given program, resulting in the remaining volume transforming into the gallery spaces. With the exhibit preparation being part of both the temporary and permanent galleries, the museum forces visitors to identify with the mechanics of the museum and the development of the form-first galleries. The consistent use of a horizontal circulation pattern allows for visitors to visually explore the vertical connection of the gallery spaces. k.MOK plays with scale and manipulation of volumes to frame out a unique spatial experience.

3MT. BALDY RESIDENCE
The client of the Mt. Baldy residence is a Japanese film maker that will use the space during the warmer months of the year.
I have proposed a bridge parti. Although the bridge reaches from one side of the ravine to the other, it is structurally supported as 1 bridge with 1 cantilever sprouting from the East side of the sight. The house is supported by a steel structure with concrete retaining walls addressing the parts of the house which submerge into the hillside. Wood framing supports the exterior wood slats which contrast appropriately with the concrete features.

Lennox Academy will follow a Upper and Lower Level Individual Advancement Model. This means that the 9th and 10th graders will be separated from the 11th and 12th graders. The lower classes will be on the second floor of the building, and the upper classes will be on the third.
The separation allows for the students to be able to converse with students that are closer in age. Once students have made the jump from 10th to 11th grade, their PE classes will become optional and they will begin to focus their cirriculum more towards college and job preparation.

5VERTICAL HYDROPONICS SEED LIBRARY& RESTAURANT
Over the past 100 years, the food supply in the U.S. has evolved from natural grown produce to highly processed foods. In the past 30 years, consumers have doubled the amount of processed foods they are purchasing; spiking the risks of heart disease, cancer, ADHD, etc. With the implementation of alternative ways to grow food without soil or pesticides- with techniques such as hydroponics, aeroponics, aquaponics- we have the opportunity to grow ‘organic’ food again, close to the source of consumption.
I am proposing to introduce Laguna Beach to a food production model utilizing vertical hydroponics to address dense living conditions. A community seed library will provide the opportunity to educate and facilitate a forum for local exchange of clean seeds and gardening. The site will also contain a farm-to-table restaurant to entice the residents to participate without forcing them into an educational environment.
