Why should you call GiCor - FAQs What type and gauge wiring is needed for home automation? and motorized shading?

Wiring for speakers, video displays & motorized window coverings require specific wiring

depending on location of equipment and desired control.

Where do I pull wiring to and what are my power source options? Line voltage, low

voltage, battery or solar power are available and can save $ if properly planned for!

How do I want to control my system(s) and where are controls located? Proper location of

switches, keypads & touch panels is important and can often be overlooked. Smart

phones are an option but you should have a plan B in the event that they are unavailable

or batteries are not charged.

Do I need an IP network? In most instances the answer is yes and it must be reliable!!!

What type of wiring is required and location with respect to multi zone audio systems?

Ceiling, in-wall or wireless or invisible speakers are all options.

How about location of cameras, security key pads and motion sensors, as well as alarm

sensors? This can vary greatly depending on equipment selected and most accessible

wall space.

Access to service locations – cable, phone, power for devices also play an important

factor in determining best system designs
