Start the procedure at the beginning and not later than 10 days before the deadline. It is simply impossible
to complete the procedure in a few days!
Funding possibilities: The TeSAF department every year is giving funds to good students who wish to do
their theses in a developing country. The call for applications will be published on the TeSAF webpage
www.tesaf.unipd.it and students can contact sara.ziggiotti@unipd.it.

step: Theses title approval by the supervisor
Go to Degree
� procedi con il processo di inserimento titoli tesi – go to insert the theses title
� clic on Tesi di laurea
- write twice the titolo tesi – theses title in English
- for Attività didattica – please figure out the course to which the theses/ the supervisor belongs:
- Parole chiave – insert key words
- Tesi all’estero – click here if you have been abroad for the data collection and elaboration of the theses
(not if you have just an topic on international/ foreign countries issue)
- then “Avanti” – forward
- next step is to insert the name of the supervisor
- then click “Avanti” – forward
- for the last confermation click on completa tesi – complete theses
- At this point you should see something like this:
After this an automatic e-mail will be send to the supervisor, who is confirming with another procedure
your theses title.
The confirmation will arrive automatically at the universities students e-mail address, from where you have
to start the procedure of the real and final theses application:
3rd
step: Universities students email address - also if you do not used it until now, you have a students university address like:

- Login with Single Sign On, so the same password like uniweb under the “Posta elettronica studenti”
In the incoming mail you should find the confirmation of the theses title sent by the professor.

step: Theses discussion application
- Proceed with “Procedi con il processo di conseguimento titolo”
- you should find something like this (at this moment I do not know if there is a version in English):
- click on conseguimento titolo
- you have to choose on which agree session you would like to participate:

Please take into account that students usually cannot start the application procedure before the application
period has started.
The deadline is at 12.00 (NOON) not in the evening/night! After the deadline it will not be possible to insert
you into the session and you will have to pass to the next one! You have to register the last examinations
until 15 days before the Session for the discussion starts (first column of the table above) and also 15 days
before you should pay the 16 Euros of the fee for the application.
- click on “Conseguimento titolo” to proceed
- under “Appelli” choose the time period of the theses discussion session
- go on with “Avanti”
Then you have to give the authorization that your theses can be available for everyone in the library – click
on “Consenso consultazione tesi”
Then you can insert if there will be any handicap people who present on your theses discussion, so help for
them will be organized – proceed with “Avanti”
Then you will be asked to upload the receipt of the “Alma laurea” questionnaire

step: Alma laurea questionnaire - Registrazione ad alma laurea – register for Alma laurea questionnaire
Now you are on the website of Almalaurea: https://www.almalaurea.it/en Please inform yourself about
what is Alma Laurea.
Unfortunately when you put it into English you lose the data which are already inside, so I would suggest to
continue on the Italian website.
In alternative use the following link for the registration in the almalaurea database:
https://www3.almalaurea.it/cgi-bin/lau/laureandi/registrazione/index_atenei_al
You should insert “Padova” and then the presumed month and year of the discussion. Also if you are a
Master student you have to put “laurea” (The master title in this case refers to courses of one year).
Then you find this:
Cognome – surname
Nome – name
Sesso – maschile – male, femminile – female
Stato di nascità: State of birth
Province – will be “estero” – abroad
Comune – town where you are born
Data – Date of birth
Codice Fiscale – Fiscal code (you can see it also in the uniweb account)
Click on “Procedi” – proceed
Please click on “Laureando o student fuori corso” – students who are about to take the degree and proceed
“Anno di iscrizione al corso” The academic year when you started you EMMc studies, not the year in
Padova.
“Data presunta di laurea” is the date when your theses discussion is foreseen (foreseen 16 of October in
2013)
Then you come to this scheme:
Continue with the selection of Laurea specialistica/ magistrale (2 anni)
“Denominazione” write “foresta” and click on “Cerca”. Now you can confirm “Corso di Laurea Magistrale in
Scienze Forestali e Ambientali” with “Seleziona”
Now you have to give your consensus that you would like to insert your personal data into alma laurea
database and that they can use your data for statistical and other purposes of the questionnaire. You have
later the possibility to say that you don not want to publish your CV on the platform.
“Matricola” – student number
“Anno di corso” is the year you are enrolled at the university of Padova, there comes out 1, I do not know if
you can change it.
Residence – your first address/ home address or residence:
Stato – State
Provincia – you put “estero”
Comune- town/place
Indirizzo – Address
CAP – Post code
Domicilio – second adress, if you have
At the end insert your e-mail
Then “Procedi” to proceed
In the last point you will get a login and you will be able to make the password. Please remember that. The
system then ask you also to put a security question which you will always remember, like the name of your
mother when she was unmarried, your dogs name, profession of your grandfather…
Then you can start to complete the Alma Laurea questionnaire. You can do it starting with the English page:

Please do the alma laurea. Also here at the end you have to confirm and you have to print out the receipt.
You have the possibility to skip some pages if you don’t want to fill all. Please be prepared to use some
imagination.
At the end you can generate a kind of receipt (riepologo) which you have to upload.

- with Sfoglia you find the right file in your directories
This is the final confirmation about the correct finalization of the process:

step: Payment of participation fee (16 €)
When you click on the item for completing the procedure – Completa domanda conseguimento titolo will
appear a MAV – Mediante Avviso which contains the details of the payment of a tax of 16 Euros which has
to be paid of every student who wants to take the degree in Italy (not only Padova).
So pay like said – if there are problems let us know. May be you will need an IBAN to do it from abroad.
This payment has to be done until 15 days before the session starts.
Sometimes the MAV (invoice) does not appear automatically. So you can find it under “registrars office”
and “payments”. It is the invoice with for “Conseguimento titolo” for 16 Euros. It should have a red bullet
and should become green some days after the payment.
7th
step: Registration of missing exams
Just in case you have still to finish or register exams you have time until 15 days before the discussion
session starts, deadline is the same like for the payment of the 16 Euros. Please check in your booklet
online if all exams are appearing.
8 What to di if you did not defend your theses during the October session?
You have to pay the taxes for being late (you can generate the invoice in the uniweb account) and you have
to do the procedure again for the next suitable session for you.
Note: You will face a lot of problems:
1) If you completed the first application you have to contact the students secretary asking to cancel your
first application by fax:

9 Release of Certifications and Diplomas
1. Degree certificate and transcript (Certificato di laurea con esami):
After the degree discussion the university of Padova is releasing the Degree certificate with transcript. This
certificate costs 16 Euros of Tax revenue stamp. It will be payd for Erasmus Mundus students by the
department. If the students are still in Padova the certification is hand out directly to them a few days after
the discussion. Other international students have to ask for the certificate directly at the students secretary
in the Pentagon building. If students left already the certificate can be sent by mail to their home address.
The certificate is in English, with a list of all the exams, their marks and the final graduation mark; it has
LEGAL VALUE AND CAN BE USED FOR ANY APPLICATION ABROAD (In Italy there are different regulations for
the requirements of certifications for applications. Often is used a self-certification).
2. Diplomas (Diploma di laurea – “Pergamena”)
Around 4-5 month after the theses discussion the official diplomas are ready and signed by the rector of
the university. Students will be informed via e-mail to the university’s student address
name.surname@studenti.unipd.it and the list will be published on the website:

If students have the possibility they can pick it up personally at:

It is possible to ask an appointment for that via app Qurami; from 9.30
The release of the diploma is free of charge all students have to take is an id document.
If students cannot come personally but you have still a friend around who can do so, he or she has to
present himself at the secretary with:
- a delegation document signed by you stating that the person is authorized to get the diploma. You find it
on the page “delega per il ritiro per il diploma di laurea”
- a copy of the id of the student who delegates
- a copy of the id of the person who is delegated to pick up the diploma
There is also the possibility to send the diploma directly to your home address. It is still for free but you
have to pay the transport costs. These are 8,55 Euro for Italy, but of course it will be more for those of you
who are abroad. To identify the exact costs please contact first the service: diplomidilaurea@unipd.it
indicating the post address. Then they will tell you the amount of money you have to transfer to their
account. The account data and the form to comply are available on the same webpage: “autorizzazione
spedizione diploma originale di laurea”. Then you send the form together with a copy of the id document
and the receipt of the payment to the same e-mail address: diplomidilaurea@unipd.it or to:

3. Diploma supplement
The diploma supplement will be free of charge and is released around 6 month after the degree. The
diploma supplement will explain the value of the degree and the votes as well as the students personal
curriculum. Erasmus Mundus students will get it from their coordinator.
4. Double degree (Mundus) students
Double degree and Erasmus Mundus students will receive the degrees awarded from the other universities.
