-A heart attack occurs when blood flow to a section of heart muscle becomes

blocked.-If you don’t restore quickly, the section of heart muscle

becomes damaged from lack of oxygen and begins to die.

What Is Coronary Artery Disease?

Is a condition in which plaque builds up inside the coronary arteries. These arter-ies supply your heart muscle with oxy-gen-rich blood.

Plaque is made up of fat, cholesterol, calcium, and other substances found in the blood.When plaque builds up in the arteries, the condition is called atherosclerosis.

When your coronary arteries are nar-rowed or blocked, oxygen-rich blood can't reach your heart muscle. This can cause angina and heart attack.

How is it occur?

Heart attacks occur most often as a result of a condition called coro-nary artery disease. (CAD).
