The hotels and resorts they stay in should have a sense of place unique to their location. Capturing the sense of place of these destinations starts from the conceptual design and continues up to the arrival of the first guest. The hardware and software should blend well for guests to experience the exotic nature of the locality. This presentation will explore some design principles that will be helpful to new and existing hotels and resorts in achieving a sense of place.

Whether you want to admit it or not, no matter how many hands you’ve
shaken at any event, you will always feel a little bit uneasy approaching
strangers. We heard you! That’s why we are going to offer you Speed
Networking as part of our program helping you break down the psychological
barrier as well as meet more people with less effort.
First up, what is Speed Networking?
Generally, speed networking entails people to gather in one place, exchanging
business cards briefly over a short time frame.
Why you should join Speed Networking?
The great thing about speed networking is that it’s effective, easy and low
pressure. It provides you with quick opportunities to initiate one-on-one
business relationships or potential cooperation with quality
individuals. Besides this, you are in a good place to meet more people in a set
period of time than you individually could. Last but not the least, whether you
are an introvert or extrovert, you will enjoy meeting people in this format, as
it’s fun and less formal.
How we arrange the Speed Networking?
Basically, we will run Speed Networking sessions respectively during Morning
Registration and Lunch Time. People will be standing face to face and rotate
clockwise. Each networking session last for 30 minutes and individual meeting
will be limited within 3 minutes. In this model, you would meet at least 10 quality
contacts during one session alone.
How to sign up?
If you would like to join, you just jump into the crowd at the speed-
networking area onsite during the above time. No need to sign up in advance.
We are providing 3 time frames (tentatively):
• 10:20 - 10:50 (April 10)
• 15:30-16:00 (April 10)
• 10:20 – 10:50 (April 11)
Please be noted that the total number for each round is around 50 people.

I think today is very interesting, a very good event. We got to do very good networking, and the topics are interesting. Hopefully the next event will be longer!
It was a very very interesting event. It was very insightful to have full scope of knowledge from developers, from the operators, architects, designers to understand more about the Vietamese Market, and Cambodian market respectively.
The participants are of good quality. The event not only provide a plaform for delegates to exchange ideas but also it has given an overview of the market itself.

I love the conference! It's a very compact one-day networking conference. The mix is very healthy. I've met a lot investors, developers, owners and people from the industry as well. So I absolutely love it!
The event is great! I mean everything is condensed into one day and we managed to have so much to discuss about and so many people were actually there. It was really a pleasure to meet everybody here.
The event was very interesting for me. Our company is all about technical services, architectural and interior design. I found that a lot of the keynotes and discussion really targeted some key issues we are dealing with today.
