I used a range of techniques to attract my audience to the magazine...

The name of the magazine would spark interest immediately as it is reminiscent of the type of music they are into, its short catchy and in a bold font...

I used a bold picture with eye contact, arty appearance and bright colours on the headband

Reference to record players on front cover; audience would be interested in vinyl and vintage records...

Rhyming cover line draws attention, and ska music is of interest to the audience

This cover line makes the audience feel they are getting more for their money, with a wide range of genres and variety in the content

The price of £2.00 is also appealing to the student audience
