New international

students should start

with this login.

You will need a Norwegian ID number and a PIN code to use this login. The Norwegian ID number has to be registered in the student

database (FS) first.

Free-movers must have paid the semester fee of NOK 500,-and had the payment registered in the student database by staff from the International Office before registrationfor classes and exams. Exchange students do not pay semester fee.

There are two Individual education plans. Plan 1 is about your rights and duties as a student at the UIT

and UIT’s responsabilities and

duties towards you. You have to confirm that you have read and

understood this information in order to

proceed to plan 2.

To start the registration of a course you have to click on Add new course.

You can only register for courses listed in your Learning Agreement/Study Plan.

Fill in course code according to your Learning Agreement/Study Plan and click on Find.

Select and Add selected course.

Mandatory!

In order to receive the semester

registration receipt with

waifer/sticker for student card, the

contact information has to be updated.

Click on Semester address international format

if you need to update your home address.

You should check your UIT e-mail

regularly.

Fill in your address in Tromsø:

street name + number, ev.

room number, and Postal

code.

Free-movers only: You can download the payment information here for the 2nd semester.

Please ignore this

information if your payment

has been registered in the student database.

You can order Transcript of records here. The document(s) will be signed, stamped

and sent to your semester address in Tromsø.

Semester fee

• Freemovers: You do have to pay the semester fee before you can register for classes and exams.

• Exchange students: You do not pay any semester fee to UiT.

Registration process:

• You can only register for courses listed in your Learning Agreement/Study Plan

• Courses: You have to register for classes and exams

• You should always update your contact information, also before you leave at the end of the semester!

Class & exam registration

• For class registrations:– Leave the class term unaltered– Choose a seminar/colloquium/lab group from the scroll-

down menu on the right. NB! Not all the courses have this kind of work groups.

• For exam registrations:– Leave the exam term/exam unaltered– Choose language of examination.

• Free-movers:Study plan should not be changed. Under special circumstances a change is possible. Contact your student adviser at the International Office

Deadlines:

• Registration for classes and exams including additional courses within:– 1 February (spring semester)– 1 September (autumn semester)

• Withdrawal from exams within:– 1 November/15 April– or 14 days before actual exam.
