This newsletter is the first of a number of regular updates on the project. Please turn over for
further information on the start of works and how Interserve Construction is working hard to have
a positive impact on the local community throughout the scheme.
The project received planning
permission in December 2014
and Interserve will be commencing
enabling works immediately. The
existing top / upper school will
be demolished first to enable
the new building to be
constructed and opened in
2016.
We are working closely with
both the School and Kidsgrove
Sports Centre throughout the
project to avoid disruption. Fencing
will be erected around the site and
pedestrian routes will be maintained
through the school site and to the Leisure Centre. Deliveries will be arranged outside of peak drop
off times and be controlled by a banksman / gateman. As with all construction works there will be a
higher volume of large vehicles than you will be used to, but this will be carefully managed. Apologies
in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
We are committed to ensuring that we have a positive effect on the local community so if you have
any queries please do not hesitate to call me or email the details below.
The project will be registered with Considerate Constructors and we will be undertaking a range of
work experience, apprentices and charity work throughout. If you have any ideas or requests please
get in touch. Thank you & please look out for regular updates throughout the project,
Matt Lakin, Interserve Construction Project Manager.
