andThomasTutor(Grade8),traveledtoHalifax,NovaSco:awiththeircoach,Mr.Banias,tocompeteinana:onaldebatetournament.TheyqualifiedearlierinFebruarytocompetewithotherteamsfromManitobaandacrossCanada.Thetwodaytournamentwasintenseastheyhadtodebatefiveresolu:onswithonlyfiaeenminutestoprepareforeachround.Ourstudentsdidverywellbutdidnotmakeitintothefinals.

AaertheawardsceremonyonSunday,Thomas,NinaandMr.BaniasdidsometouringaroundHalifax,visitedPier21,sawtheCitadelandshoppedindowntownHalifax.Theyevenenjoyedanamazinglobsterdinner.
