Medical Departmenty Medical department is established to provide better

service to the employees of the industry.

y In TTPL medical department comes under theauthority of personnel department but it isfunctioning independently for providing better

medical service to the employees.

y The head of the department is a medical officer. Underhim there is one male nurse and four nursing assistant.

Medical Department

y Doctors are appointed by the company.

y Periodic health checkup are conducted for all theemployees in the company.

y Each employee has a medical record book in hisdepartment. The treatment and findings of the doctoris recorded in it with the date of consultation.

department and these medicines are purchased by

inviting quotations.

y When an accident occurs in the factory premises, firstaid service is provided and if serious the victim is

taken to nearby hospital.

Security and Vigilancey In any industry it is important to protect its property,

assets and people.

y In TTPL the security department is headed by security superintendent and vigilance officer who is directly reporting to the managing director.

y They are followed by security officer , an assistantsecurity officer, head security guard and other security guards.

y Only by presentation of valid pass or identity cards orauthorization ,materials, vehicles and persons shouldbe allowed into the organization.

y All the movements both check in and check out isdone through the main gate.

Dutiesy They shall not allow any unauthorized person in and

around their duty place and shall discourage the

employees from gossiping.

y They shall strictly monitor the movements of personnel, materials and vehicles either attached to

the company or connected with companys business.

y To ensure that rules and laws of the company areobeyed.

Functions.y To protect the personnel and property of the

organization against theft.

To check all incoming and outgoing goods and vehicles.

y To assist the management in case of strikes and laborproblems.

y To bring irregularities to the notice of themanagement and suggesting remedial measures.

y All the movements of the employees and outsidersthrough the main gate shall be recorded in therelevant register.

Functions.y The main gate will be opened at the scheduled timings

or under authorized instructions.

y To check whether the workers are smoking inside thefactory premises to avoid fire.

y At the close of the working time, inspect the windowsand ventilators and ensure that all the fans, lights etcare switched off except the security lights.

Actions Taken By Vigilance Departmenty The cases of fraud charged against a department or an

employee is circulated throughout all departments

which act as a deterrence to malpractices for fear of being caught.

y If the case involves above Rs. 25 lakh, then the case ishanded over to the CBI.

An employee is suspended from service during theperiod of trial and if found guilty from the court of law,then he or she is terminated from service consideringthe gravity of the case.
