2013-2014: Sustainable Local Agriculture Recent Topics Include: Forestry, Storm water, Renewable Energy,

Invasive Species, and Wetland Protection

The Envirothon Competition DayMay 15, 2014 at Sholan Farms, Leominster

Teams Test Their Skills and KnowledgeDivided into sub-teams students cover all elements of the competition: Four Ecostations (soil, water, forest, and wildlife) and a Current Issue presentation

A New Format Allows for More Opportunities:

Three 65-minute sessions Up to 10 students per team

Ecostation sessions may include a brief demonstration/ activity as well as the short answer/hands-on test

Students Share their Experience At the Lunchtime Roundtable session teams are encouraged to share their community research and meet with natural resource experts

competition scores along with of Community Research and Action awards
