Background of the Company
1968Development of impulse radiation curing at theHildebrand Company in Oberboihingen
1977A new company is founded with the participation of Werner & Pfleiderer: Werner & Pfleiderer - Hildebrand Strahlentechnik GmbH
1982Takeover of all company shares by Gerhard and Renate Metz
1985Establishment of the head office in Nürtingen-Zizishausen
1989 and 1997Two further buildings are added because of the steady growth in turnover and an increasing number of employees

2000With 290 worldwide employees and an IST group turnover of 86 million DEM it became obvious that the premises built in 1997 would no longer be sufficient
Further expansion with a new 5,200 m2 building was finallycompleted in June 1999.
In September 2000 inauguration of the four-storey buildingwith production and administration facilities.

2002IST METZ opens the UV Transfer Center in Nürtingen as part of its “more than UV” philosophy.
IST is the first UV systems manufacturer in the world to invest in its own UV printing press and offers unique facilities for customers and industry partners for UV tests and training.
2003The IST METZ Group increases its know-how in surface coating technology with the takeover of the company VTD Vakuumtechnik Dresden.

Fast Lamp Change FLC®
Quick and easy lamp changes with the FLC®
system
Removal of the UV lampThe lamp is easily lifted out of the housing and removed from the unit using a simple handle.
No additional tools are necessary, as there are no screws to remove or cables to disconnect.
Inserting the new lampThe new lamp is simply placed in the lamp housing. The lamp locks into place automatically when lightly pressed into the lamp socket.
The lamp unit is now ready for use and can be inserted back into the machine.
