Child Rescue Alert - Help us
reach our target of 1 million
sign-ups by May 2015? A Child Rescue Alert is activated when a child is known to have been abducted or their life is believed to
be at immediate risk.
It is almost impossible to imagine a more horrific crime than the abduction of a child. Cases such as the
disappearance of three-year-old Madeleine McCann or five-year-old April Jones touched the hearts of
the nation. If your child went missing wouldn’t you want the world to stop and look for them? By signing
up to Child Rescue Alert, they could.
Based on AMBER* alerts pioneered in the USA after 9-year-old Amber Hagerman was abducted and
murdered in Texas in 1996, this system is already used in other parts of Europe, with the Netherlands
currently having the biggest Alert network—10 percent of the population are signed up to receive alerts
and rapidly spread information, using all available technology and media, to trace and save a child in
danger.
The UK police agency for missing children, CEOP**, has asked Missing People to be it’s partner in this
initiative to deliver an effective Child Rescue Alert in the UK. CEOP will focus on delivering a fast and
efficient police response; whilst the charity will build on its present network of partners, media partners,
supporters and employees to create a national network of partners and public supporters ready to re-
ceive information immediately an Alert is issued—galvanising entire communities to help in the search for
and safe recovery of an at-risk child. With widespread public sympathy and support, an effective Child
Rescue Alert system has the potential to be one of the largest public participation initiatives in the UK.
Missing People’s goal in the first year is 1 million people joining in the UK, with a much larger long-term
aspiration.
Child Rescue Alert is a strategic priority for Missing People in 2014 and will be publicly launched on Inter-
national Missing Children’s Day, 25th May. You could be at the forefront of this potentially life-saving
initiative, so please look out for more information from us about how you can help in the coming month.

When flying by private jet that’s exactly what you
can do! Many UK airports are now extending their
VIP terminal facilities to accommodate passengers
who wish to bring their pet with them.
UK residents are able to take pets to other EU coun-
tries and designated non-EU countries, and arrive
back to the UK without the need for quarantine pro-
vided your pet has been microchipped and vaccinat-
ed against rabies.
On board a private jet, your pet can join you in the
cabin and enjoy the journey rather than going
through the traumatic ordeal associated with com-
mercial flight procedures. They can get comfortable
and look forward to being pampered by aircraft op-
erators who can provide favourite food and snacks,
preferred bedding and a litter tray. What more could
you want for your furry companion?
Let’s face it, pets need a holiday too and they’re part
of the family! You’d miss them and they’d miss you
too! And with more and more hotels becoming pet
friendly, there’s never been a better time to bring
your four-legged friend with you.
Airports which are committed to ensuring safe
pet travel include:
London Biggin Hill
London Oxford
London Stansted
London Heathrow
Leeds Bradford International
Manchester
Doncaster
Cambridge
Blackpool

The Art Buyers Club exists under the umbrella of Gal-lery DIFFERENT and its aim is to support members who would like to invest in art and enjoy adding to or indeed starting an art collection. Since the mid twenti-eth century the performance of fine art as an invest-ment suggests that it should be a component in any diverse investment portfolio, but we recognise that in-vestors often have neither the time nor the knowledge to feel confident in making acquisitions in this complex market place.
The benefits of club membership will include:
access to expert advice, assistance and support,
which can include an assessment of needs and preferences to offer a bespoke selection;
the ‘inside track’ on information about a diverse
range of art and artists, particularly those who are establishing a reputation;
access to a secondary market within the club to
enable members to sell works at their current mar-ket value and this would include an ability to return artworks for credit against another purchase;
introduction to the concept, philosophy and bene-
fits of acting as a collective which can actively influ-ence the performance of the owned art, for alt-hough art works are bought by individuals, a team strategy will improve the possibilities of a good fi-nancial return.
access to external expertise available to assist
members maximising the tax advantages available
in relation to their acquisition (eg holding the art as part of their Self Invested Pension Plan);
Advice on hanging or placing art including site spe-
cific selections or commissions;
Regular events such as exclusive viewings of po-
tential investment works, talks, demonstrations, regular newsletters and an exclusive member only website.
The Art buyers Club is created to make collecting art fun, informative and profitable. At the simplest level we advocate buying art that gives you pleas-ure, because living with good art is a reward in it-self. For the Corporate collector, the art on the walls can say a lot about your company, differentiating you from the competition whilst adding to the com-pany's asset base. How to become part of the Art Buyers Club... Access to the club is by invitation to club evenings where you will be able to meet the team, learn more about the club and view our art selection and simply enjoy a lively social evening with other like minded dynamic people. Membership is gained through your first purchase at whatever level.

Interview
with a
private jet
pilot
9
R obin is a private jet pilot and owner of Jet Vi-
sion BV based in The Netherlands.
He currently flies a Challenger 605 around
the world for a private owner and has been
flying commercially since 2005.
We caught up with Robin in between his busy flying
schedule and this is what he had to say………..
How long have you been flying for?
Officially I started to fly commercially in 2005 as a Boeing
737 First-Officer out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
And, my first unpaid job was from 2001-2002 as an
AeroCommander AC500 cargo pilot out of Kansas
City, USA.
Where was your first flight to and from?
You always remember your first flight as pilot. From
Seppe Airport, The Netherlands, and back with a
two seater Grob115.
What is your favourite approach and why?
It's very hard to choose one. London City, was al-
ways my favourite while I was flying Citation Jets at
the time. The steep approach in the middle of the
city with its short runway in the River Thames,
make it an interesting and challenging approach.
Mahe, Seychelles and Samedan, St Moritz have a
stunning approaches as well.
What is your favourite airport and why?
I have plenty favourite airports, but mainly I like Hong
Kong. It's well organized and everything and everybody
works on a professional level. Beside that Hong Kong is
a great place to spend time.
What type of aircraft do you fly?
Bombardier Challenger 605
What is your most memorable flight?
Also here I got a couple, but one of them was a cargo
flight from Kuala Lumpur to Brunei with 15 horses in the
back. At a certain moment one horse was getting very
aggressive and started to jump against the roof and was
crawling out of his box over the others. Soon the whole
aircraft was shaking as others horses where getting ag-
gressive as well and started to escape from their boxes
too. The view from the cockpit was amazing, with an oth-
er +1:00 hour to go over the sea at night, Brunei was the
only and suitable airport to make a safe landing.
What do you love about your job?
The variety, nothing is standard and anything is possible.
Good organisation and planning are the key to success.
Many times quick improvising is required to serve the
clients to their satisfaction. While using all available as-
sets and working with a very professional team to have a
smooth and safe operation.
What is your least favourite thing
about your job?
Being away from my family and miss-
ing out on important days in the lives
of my kids.
What is your favourite destination?
Rome for the history and culture
Have you ever flown any celebri-
ties?
During the years I have had many
world famous celebrities on-board,
differ from famous movie stars, musi-
cians, sport athletes ,royalties, minis-
ters, business people, etc.
Sometimes you even don't know, e.g. Flying into China
with a famous Chinese celebrity, you normally find out
just after landing, when you wonder what all those thou-
sands of people are doing near the airport. Then you re-
alize that the passenger was probably a celebrity.
What has been the strangest request you have had
from a passenger?
A butler of a royalty asked me once if I could turn off the
smoke/fire detector in the lavatory, so that he could
smoke his cigarette while his boss could not see him do-
ing so.
To ask Robin a question tweet your questions
to @jetlogic to have them featured in next

How to do an adventure holiday in style
Avoid wardrobe disaster with our guide to the ultimate holi-day suitcase to ensure you are prepared for whatever your des-tination has in store.
Packing for a luxury break can be a perilous task at the best of times, throw the prospect of an adventure holiday in the mix and you will need to pack your fashion items wisely. Whether you're packing for a winter wonderland, preparing for a jungle adventure, tracking down lions or simply taking it easy in the spa, we have selected the must have accessories and essential pieces that will see you through your holiday in style.
Safari Styling For an excursion into the animal kingdom let your wardrobe follow suit and embrace your wild-side. Colour palette is key - think neutral beige, brown and khaki shades that will help you blend into the background. A jacket is essential for those early morning adventures when the temperature can be a little chilly and of course comfortable footwear .
Alpine Chic When hitting the slopes it's crucial to have the right gear, but being practical doesn't mean you have to compromise on style. Have fun with colour and mix and match ski sepa-rates to ensure you stand out. What you wear apres-ski is no less important than your on-piste ensemble; look for luxurious knitwear in soft cashmere and fur accessories that will have you feeling snug and stylish.
15
Jungle Formula In addition to insect repellent, your suitcase for a jungle expedition should be carefully considered. Attire should be light, loose and at all times long-sleeved. Colour-wise, animal print and neutral shades are a no-go; stick to anything bright and patterned which will help ward off pesky insects. A wide-brimmed hat is also a smart investment and sandals for when your feet need a rest from heavy-duty walking boots.
16
Relaxing Retreat If you're embarking on a wellbeing retreat where the most strenuous thing you are likely to do is a session of yo-ga, then the key to your holiday wardrobe is comfort. Leggings, loose layers and sporty footwear are vital. Re-member to pack a swimsuit for those all-important trips to the spa.

Luxury Holidays /
Like no other
A staggering 140,000 children go missing in the UK every year
On International Missing Children’s Day (Sunday 25 May), we will once again harness the power of Twit-
ter to help find missing children via The Big Tweet for Missing Children.
You can take part too, by retweeting the appeals for missing children that the charity will tweet every 30
minutes for 24 hours.
Our Patron Stephen Fry will be supporting the event once again - here's what he said:
"Do you know what you are going to be doing on Sunday 25 May? I do. I
am going to be throwing my weight behind the charity Missing People’s
‘Big Tweet for Missing Children’ for the fourth year running.
"It is a very simple concept and there is simply no excuse not to get in-
volved. Every half hour for 24 hours throughout International Missing
Children’s Day, the charity will be posting Twitter appeals with the aim of
finding missing children.
"By retweeting these appeals, we can all help extend the platform that might bring those children home.
Circulating the details of these children through the social media site is such a simple, yet incredibly effec-
tive way to give the appeals as much coverage as possible.
Take Part
If you have a Twitter account you can take part. All you have to do to take part in the Big Tweet is follow Missing People and look out for the hashtag #BIgTweet on Sunday 25 May 2014 and retweet as many appeals for miss-ing children as you can.
