– Pedestrian Tunnels at Lake Avenue and West 76th

– West 73rd Grade Separation

– Mainline - Lake Avenue/Clifton Boulevard to West 25th Street/Detroit Avenue

Lakefront West Corridor – Projects and Schedule

Construction Phasing

• 2 lanes of West Shoreway mainline traffic maintained in both directions within work zones for the majority of the project duration.

• Periodic off peak short term closures of additional lanes may occur as necessary.

• 3 lanes of traffic in each direction will be restored for over winter periods and when otherwise feasible.

• Speed Limits will be reduced to 40 mph over the summer of 2015 and then to 35 mph begin fall of 2015.

• Bridge over the Lake Avenue Eastbound Entrance Ramp– West Shoreway will be closed at Clifton Ave for 25 days.– Traffic to and from the West Shoreway will be maintained

via the Lake Avenue ramps.– Law Enforcement Officers will be utilized during peak

periods. Detours will be posted.– Construction of bridge anticipated as early as Fall 2016

• Entrance/Exit Ramp closures with posted detours will occur periodically at Lake Avenue, Edgewater Park, West 49th Street, West 45th Street and West 25th

Street.• Ramp closures are phased so reasonable detours are in

place and concurrent closures of multiple ramps are kept to a minimum.

• Access to Edgewater Park, Whiskey Island and Other Marinas, NEORSD Westerly Plant, Garrett Morgan Water Treatment Plant, and Cleveland Soap Box Derby will be maintained at all times.– Posted detours will be in place as necessary for restrictions in

place.

• Entrance/Exit Ramp closure durations vary by location with 21 days being the minimum and 120 days being the maximum.

• West 25th Street between Detroit Ave and Division Ave will be closed for 3 separate 21 day periods at various points of this corridor.– Access to The Flats and adjacent businesses and residences

will be maintained. Detours will be posted as necessary.

• Local access and pedestrian traffic maintained at all times. Notification will be given one week in advance of any restrictions or access changes to properties adjacent work zones.

• No pile driving between 7pm and 7am

• Waiver for restrictions on the following activities

– Traffic Pattern Changes

– Bridge Removal and Replacement

– Bridge Deck Concrete Prep and Placement

– Underground Utilities

– Pavement

– Other items per review and approval of Councilman
