Description of Responsibilities

Play a support role to Media Strategy Team Members

Handlings administrative tasks

Keep up-to-date on trade industry articles that are relevant to Agency’s media client categories

Build knowledge of and experience with Hispanic media resources: AdViews, Simmons, Scarborough, GeoScape, Nielsen Media Research, and Arbitron

Keep Media Strategy Supervisor and/or Director informed on all projects, continuously fostering an open dialogue

Point of contact for media vendor community, maintaining relationships with vendors, setting up regular meetings with Agency media team and vendors as deemed necessary or appropriate

Internship Requirements

Work a minimum of 15-20 hours per week

Complete evaluation and feedback forms at the end of the semester

Meet with an intern program manager to discuss your experiences (twice a semester)

Turn in weekly timesheets

Works on a semester-long group project

Contribute to the Agency Newsletter - LatinWired

Daily Tasks

Take vendor’s phone calls and emails

Assist supervisor in everyday tasks

Attend meetings and/or conference calls

Think of own projects

Work on semester-long project

Be as productive as possible

Treat every task as an important one!

5 interns per team

Project will require you to work together as a team

Each group will essentially be a mini-agency

Present in front of entire agency

Learn how to work with time management and prioritization

Each intern will have a section in LatinWired

Distributed to the entire agency once a semester

Provide agency with a fun source of communication that give updates on new business, employee, accounts, etc.
