WHO is delivering LEAN & GREEN projects in Canada?
There must be a better way!
“Lean for Buildings ”“Lean for Manufacturing ”
Why not adopt principles from manufacturing?
Then every building could perform like a PRIUS and get 75 mpg!
Sherman Kreiner
By adopting a lean and more integrated project delivery process we
were able to fix a $6M broken budget and deliver a signature LEED Gold project that exceeded our expectations for value and performance.
At 59% less energy we think we have “North America’s Most Energy Efficient Laboratory Building”
LEED Gold Richardson College for the Environment

Integrated Project Delivery enabled us to deliver a challenging project to meet the needs of a large diverse stakeholder group, achieve low energy costs, deliver to target cost on an aggressive schedule and
manage the RISK of building in the North.
$18M Churchill Northern Studies Center (LEED Gold)
For our project we wanted to demonstrate to that triple bottom line economics work for
commercial real estate. We are on target to deliver the Mosaic Centre to the highest level of sustainability as defined by Living Building Challenge for approximately the same cost as a
traditional build.
Our return on investment will be in the productivity of our people, recognition as good stewards of the planet and from the financial benefits of having higher occupancy and no
energy bills.

Nortep High Performance Large Family Affordable Housing on tight Budgets
By assembling the best LEAN Team we were able to build 8 large family housing units with double wall construction, triple glazing and energy efficient systems for an extremely low target cost of $170 psf.

The recipe is really SIMPLE! Use lean and more integrated building processes like PREFABRICATION and INTEGRATION to deliver GREEN building projects.
With our projects the energy and construction cost savings finance better quality & higher performance. Our goal is to be able to deliver Net O projects at Net 0 additional cost.

Okanagan College Kelowna Trades Centre Living Building Challenge Project #2
As leaders in the community it is our duty to protect the planet and demonstrate that triple bottom line economics work. For our second Living Building Challenge
project,we have adopted Lean Project Delivery to raise the bar even higher as we want
less cost, less time and to be fully commissioned at substantial completion.
