Their rhyming skills are superb!

• Intermediate students use online databases such as Culture Grams, Brain-Pop, Jr., America the Beautiful, and World Book to locate, organize, and interpret information.

• Norwood readers know the importance of using the 5-Finger Test and the Goldilocks Rule when selecting books!!

• We use graphic organizers from Kidspiration to help us connect what we read to our own lives, the story, and the world around us.

• Our natural curiosity is encouraged whenever we use ‘I Wonder’ logs. Discovering information is just downright fun!!!

• Safari Montage is a awesome tool in helping us to develop schema for all subject areas. The ‘Reading Rainbow’ add-on package is perfect in helping us to make the connection between the story and the real-world.
