• I have made a photo album about human rights issues, depression, addiction and suicide because I wanted to raise awareness as so many young people I know are affected by them.

• I have used all my own photographs and have provided a title and a short description for each one.

• I hope that my photo story will highlight these issues and send a message of hope and inspiration to young people.

• Pictures speak a thousand words in every language.

• I want my piece to inspire people who are not feeling great to seek help and know that they are not alone. There are plenty of ways to get on the road to feeling better.

• No matter what the situation you are in, there is always a way out.

A SHATTERED LIFE

Many People May feel broken or feel like their lives are in bits. Some feel so broken that they will never

be fixed again.

CAUGHT IN THE WEB

People can feel trapped in a web of Isolation, Loneliness, Poverty and Exclusion. They often

feel paralysed by these feelings.

HANGING BY A THREAD

Sometimes one person can provide comfort to another in a world where the other feels alienated. This person is helping them to hang on by a thread.

ON THE EDGE

People can be on the edge of society and feel like they are always on the outside looking in and never inside

looking out. They are at risk of falling off the edge.

A BITTER PILL TO SWALLOW

Drugs or Alcohol look like they will provide short term comfort to those feelings isolated

but their side effects can be way more devastating than the original problem.

EYE WIDE SHUT

Everything depends on how we view the world. Some people need help to see the world

differently. If they can they can see a way out.

A WAY OUT

If we look hard enough we will see a road back to full citizenship. It may be uphill at the start but all

good things are worth fighting for.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

The journey is made easier when we do it together. Together we can do what we can’t do alone.

INNER BEAUTY

On the journey, our friends can help us see our inner beauty and how each and every individual is unique and a natural part of creation.

BLOSSOM

We can blossom again as people and connect with the world in ways we couldn’t see possible.

FREEDOM

Everyone has rights to feel happy and free, nobody should feel trapped and miserable.
