at his home in Cherry Grove after an illness of a few months duration. The funeral will be held Thursday.

friday evening at 7 o'clock, about 60 gvitots gathered in the M. E. church basement where a dainty two-course banquet was served in honor of our returned soldiers and sailors. The room was very prettily decorated with the National colors, this and the beautiful bouquets on the tables presenting a most pleasing appearance. After the banquet toasts were given by the following, Capt. H. W. Plummer acting as toastmaster: Mr. Coaniagham. Art Nagel, W. E. Kerr, Harriaon Davis. Dave Roberts, Hayden Edwards, Pauli Nagel, Mr. Bullard, Mrs. Plummer and Miss Alice Jones. Following the banquet the band gave a very fine open, air concert; then to finish off the evening there was a dance for all who cared to attend.
