Introduction Load flow study play a key role in the planning of

additions or expansions to transmission and generation facilities

A load flow solution is often the starting point for many other types of power system analysis

Load flow analysis at the heart of contingency analysis and the implementation of real time monitoring systems

Load flow analysis is the study of the behavior of power system

It determines if system voltages remain with in limits under normal or emergency operating conditions

Whether equipments like transformers and conductors are overloaded

We can get some practical profile of bus voltage

We can identify real and reactive power flow and minimize KW and KVAR losses

It is important to grow and expand our system

Our project is based on ETAP 6.0 software

Problem Statement FDR-ANA does not have capability to provide comprehensive

analysis

The main cause of disturbance in power system is under voltage

Future up gradation of power system network

The voltage at each bus should be known for losses calculation

Assessment of power system:• within operational limits • system is safe

Objectives To monitor and analyze the power system

accurately

To overcome the under voltage problem

To expand the substation in future demand

To improve the power factor of power system

To minimize the losses of power system

Methodology We have collected data of 132kv GSS Cantt Peshawar.

Then we simulate single line diagram in ETAP 6.0 .

After load flow analysis of single line diagram we have seen that all the feeders were operating under voltage.

Also there were more losses on each bus.

we connected suitable devices like Distributed Generator and again simulated.

To overcome the problem we connected DG with each feeder one by one.

When we simulated the single line diagram with DG connected to each bus then concluded that the under voltage problem and losses were improved.
