UKAS appointed as National Accreditation Body under EU Regulation

765/2008

Accredited conformity assessment referenced as a requirement in EU

Regulations and Directives eg:

• Certification of organic food and farming

• Forensic services eg fingerprinting and DNA testing

• ‘Notified bodies’ required for testing and certification under a wide

range of product regulations eg toys, lifts, machinery, pressure

equipment

International recognition
