Anchorage Text Writing that fixes the meaning of an image

Brand Identity Brand Identity- The distinctive features by

which a magazine is instantly recognized.  This is reflected by the house style and values.

Caption Caption- The words that accompany an

image and makes the meaning a clear-see anchorage   

Cover lines Titles on the front cover of a magazine-

usually more on the dominant left that promote the content of the magazine

Central image Main image/photograph o the front cover

Masthead The title of the magazine that appears at

the top of the page.  It consists of a distinctive font for the price and the title

Mode of address The way that a magazine appeals to an

audience. Consists of particular linguistic and visual features

Puff A graphic feature that draw attention and

highlights certain features or promotional offers.

SloganShort catchy phrase that tends to sum up the identity of the magazine. Often positioned near the masthead.
