Karimnagar District

Dr. Chennamaneni Ramesh, MLA Vemulawada took this Project as a challenge 3 years back and declared that he would make Vemulawada Constituency a Purified Water Zone by providing purified water to all.

Earlier he was instrumental in providing drinking water to 136 villages, constructing 208 school buildings, providing irrigation to small farmers in 24 villages, providing drainage system and feeder channel to Vemulawada town etc. with 150 Crores.

To Provide Purified drinking water to all 70

major villages and Temple Town with 3 Lakh

people of Vemulawada constituency.

To contribute in improving Health, social &

economic conditions of rural villages.

To provide employment to rural youth.

To permanently provide clean drinking water to all rural

villages as 21 percent of communicable diseases in India

are water related (namely - cholera, diarrhea, typhoid,

hepatitis A, malaria and filaria) and 75 per cent of water

related deaths are that of children below five years.

To integrate all the poor in the program with 3 Rs per 20

L as they are target group

To contribute in improving the Health, Education &

Economic conditions on the long run

Technology: A combination of technologies based on RO (Reverse Osmosis and UV) will be used to rid brackish water of pathogens, particulates, and dissolved impurities, especially fluoride and salinity.  

Health + Hygiene education: We work through intensive campaigns on health and personal hygiene to educate rural communities on the need to store water carefully, adopt hygienic sanitation practices and avoid contaminating water resources. This in turn helps to influence rural people to adopt safe water and creates demand from villages / panchayats to implement our Water Programme.

This project had started in Vemulawada Constituency in five Mandals Vemulawada, Konaraopet, Chandurthy, Kathalapur and Medipally. 65 plants are covering 4000 people on average with about 38 thousand houses with a population of 2.4 lakhs.

including Schools and Colleges

Grampanchayat

Self Employed Welfare Society (SEWS)

A fruitfull cooperation with Grampanchayat and

members of all communities in the village is a

basic ground for successful Project

Provide building.

Provide bore water connection.

Provide current meter connection with 6b

category.

Signing of MoU with Grampanchayat team.

Provide 1000 LPH plant

2 storage tanks – 5000 lts each,

Plant installation and running expenses.

Conduct awareness programmes in the villages

on regular basis

3 Rs per 20 L to reach every household in the

village with purified drinking water on regular

basis.

Rs. 90/- per card (20 liters can) for 30 cans

per month

Rs. 45/- per card (12 liters can) for 30 cans

per month

Daily field visits by Field Officer and also the Project Manager makes Sudden visits to the plants. We ensure uninterrupted supply!

Collecting feed back from the users, village leaders, RMPs.

Conducting Social Audit from external agencies and improve efficiency and quality.

Dr. Chennamaneni Ramesh weather he is in Vemulawada, Hyderabad or Germany personally monitors this Project DAILY!

More than 2.40 lakhs people are using Purified Water daily and we could secure an uninterrupted supply!

Covering 5 Mandals with 65 villages along with 29 small hamlets and presently extended to 15 more.

69.5% of the villagers are using this water, including the most poorest, such as agricultural labourer’s.

RMP and Doctors report substantial decrease in water related diseases; Data collection reveals significant positive results.

Supporting other projects like Sakshar Bharathi by providing stationeries & black boards.

Provided employment to 65 rural youths in this Project. Providing Purified Water to School Children @ Rs 1/- for 20 liters

can. Provided 1.00 Lakh liters free to the Temple poojas during

Annadanam programmes.
