Leadership at Unity: We are so grateful to God for His provision of leadership for His Church. As we enter a time once again of transition, we thank God for those who have served and are willing to serve. TODAY, April 29, we will select new officebearers by casting lots for them during the morning worship celebration. The newly selected officebearers will then be installed into their new positions also as part of the service today. We thank the following officebearers for serving Christ's Church here at Unity for the present term and who will be stepping down at the end of June: Harris Duininck (Admin Elder); David Brouwer (Admin Deacon); Dan Brouwer and Jennifer Breems (Service Deacons); Trapper Swierenga (Shepherding Elder). Those who have been nominated for these positions are: Admin Elder: Ryan Moorlag and Mike Mulder Admin Deacon: Jennifer Breems (by appointment, note - she currently serves as church treasurer) Service Deacon (first selection w ill be for a 2 year term to complete Jennifer's Service Deacon term; second selection will be for a full 3 year term): Darrel Frikke, Jeremiah Slagter, and Kirk Vander Pol Shepherding Elder: Mindy Grannes and Chad Hoekstra
Please commit these names and this process to prayer, placing this all in the sovereign hands of the Lord of the Church, Jesus Christ.

THE GENERAL FUND UPDATE
Stewardship Corner Seasons. As we eagerly anticipate the change of seasons from winter to spring, it once again reminds us of our yearning for newness and life. This is not an accidental yearn-ing, but a God-given drive. He built us for life, to sustain life, and to live life to the full-est. Giving is an integral part of that life-giving, life-sustaining picture. Giving is a way of infusing life into others and experiencing fullness of life. An offering is not just a part of the worship service, it’s a life-giving act -- an expression of yearning for newness and vitality in God's people and God's world. May your giving always reflect the life-giving spirit of God in all of areas of life, including the morning offering.
Elder Care Seminar Do you have questions about how to help your parent or spouse transition to a long-term care facility? Have you wondered about the financial implications of that transition? Are you uncertain about the best legal options for decision-making? Would you like to know what to look for in assited-living options? Join us on April 29th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Atwater for a panel discussion, followed by Q&A with experts from Lutheran Social Services, a representative from Bethesda, and a family member who spent six years as the primary care-giver for her elderly mother. Space is limited so please register online at: https://goo.gl/FPT1Pa or by calling Pastor Jon at 320-295-8861
