concept project of book publisher lars muller house and officekronengasse 35, baden, switzerland

conceptual pahase of design followed previous excursion to baden. meeting with lars muller in his office was organised to under-stand his needs, requierments and preferences about new, conceptual place of living and work, careful site analysis has been made on a place indicated by a publisher. the location of the project is very beautiful, on a slope in the center of the city, in a very short distance to the river very close to the place where mario botta designed thermal pools (ongoing). the main tasks to deal with were big density of old existing buildings in a close neighbourhood, changes of the height levels among the particular site and surrounding historic wall. Final form came out from two curved lines linking characteristic points on the site, as a result the fluent and fitted into terrain shape was created, concpet of the functional scheme is brief and clear with one communication space, angled staircase which follows the edge of a curved wall, links two sides of a house, points on the lowest and highest levels.

house is mainly available from 3 levels, except the first and the last one, additional entrances for a clinets and guests are designed on the middle level. the interior of the house is organised as one big open space, with regular levels in the appearence of terraces. on the top level there is a privat space with the view on the lower levels. staircase is se-pareted from the rest of space with surface of milk glass. there is no doors inside a house, they are unnecessary. one of the main conceptual points which determined final form was use of the historic wall. the main construction of the buildind don't have connection with this wall and is supported with independent column construction. light steel and glass construction is used as a fill between concret slab structure and historic wall. one serious thing which uses wall as a support is the construction of the roof, huge surface made from steel and glass makes the interior bright.

concept project of twenty first century villa (work in progress)dundee ln, jerome, arizona, united states

parametric design with the support of grasshopper software. the main idea is to make a shape of the building inspirated by water. organic structure is divided to levels with straight surfaces of slabs. concept of an interior is a completely open space without doors, but curved and complex enough to give proper level of intimacy to the users of every particular room. stairs are designed to give possibly high flexibility of moving from one space to another without crossing any other,
