Warm up: How are you going to creatively incorporate acrylic paint?

Today’s Objective: • Continue with: • Theme-based montage illustrating an idea or story.

• What is your subject? • What is your setting?

• Creative apply painting techniques in your artwork • Introduce new mediums Last Day to work on your painting is Thursday DUE MONDAY FEB. 10

• Warm up: Copy the steps bellow.

• Today’s Objectives:

• Begin gridding your photo by 1”. Then grid the large paper by 1.5”.

• Follow Handout for thorough instructions

• After gridding begin drawing the outline of your face DO NOT BEGIN SHADING!

• When you are ready to shade, begin worksheet and follow guidelines.

Warm up: Write shading Tips below… Shading your self Portrait: 1. Use Long lead of ebony to shade lightly & smoothly. 2. Start Light & build up to darker values with layers & pressure. 3. Shade neatly in the directions of the main outlines. 4. Put paper under your hand to not smear your shading. Today’s Objectives: •Continue shading your self portrait. Shade smoothly & as realistically as possible. •Glazing •Closing Question: How does shading affect your self portrait?
