How to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

By: Nathan Che

The carbon footprints lead to global warming, which happened back on Earth.

Now we don’t want to pollute and destroy our new planet, do we? So I’m

going to explain how we can avoid that from happening. First of all, avoid driving

too much. Only use your car when absolutely necessary, and if you’re thinking,

“I need to drive to school!” there are things in this world called bicycles. Also, it

will give you exercise, so you’re killing two birds with one stone. Second, use

efficient lighting, or use energy saving lights. Additionally, turn off your lights

when you’re not in the room, even if you’re out of the room for even a

second. Along with the exercising idea, eat more organic food. So basically, be

healthy and the world will follow your example.

Icarus Day

By: Hutton Howard

Icarus Day is a time of celebration for the day that this planet was first colonized.

We recognize these people by shooting off fireworks that spell the name Icarus

when they explode. Also, on this day we remember our old planet, Earth, and

what we did to it. We shut down all power and choose to go super green for the

next month.

The average distance from Icarus (Kepler-22b) to its host star Kepler 22 is about 15% less than the

distance from Earth to the Sun but the brightness of Kepler-22 (Sun) is about 25% less than that of our

Sun. This combination of a shorter average distance from the star and a lower luminosity create a

moderate surface temperature at that distance.

How Have the Cycles Changed

By: Nathan Che

Since our planet has more land and less water than

Earth, the carbon and water cycles have changed from

Earth. The water cycle has decreased because there is

less water on our planet. Also, the carbon cycle happens

more in the land and air than the water because there’s

more land. However, the cycles have not changed

drastically because our planet is not too much different.

What is on our planet?

By Nathan Che

We chose to bring farm animals because they provide the most. Pigs provide

meat and chickens provide meat and eggs. Also, cows provide meat and dairy.

Bringing those animals will actually benefit us, and bringing other animals would

have done nothing for us. For the plants, we brought grass so that our animals

could graze and gain energy. We brought bushes over so that we could grow

some berries for bonus food, and we brought trees for wood and additional

oxygen.
