Operation Piriciples
The emission of elektron gun coming first to the inputcavity where the electron beam produced. The beamsvelocity determined by RF signal at input cavity. Electronbeam goes to the middle (second) cavity where themodulation of Beam velocities realised. The count ofmiddle cavities depended our needs. When we need moregain we need also more cavities. At the Output (Catcher)Cavity amplified the input signal from buched elektrons andthe output signals transfered to the output window.
Electrons goes after outputcavity to the collector whereelectrons collected and relases the energy as heat. TheFocusing Magnet constrains the electron beam through thelength of the high frequency circuit. Cavity Tuner changesthe resonant frequency by tuning the shape of the cavity.

If the output circuit is the simpleresonant circuit described above, its half-power bandwidth is
The output voltage and the overall klystron gain G areproportional to RT and since RT is
usually almost equal to RL, the following relation usually holds

The ratio of In to Vm is called thetransconductance .
The overall current gain function can be treated as a lumped
constant network problem. The analysis proceeds as follows: Thecurrent gain between cavities m and n is

Broadband KlystronsOur klystron technology leads the world in terms of performanceand reliability. We were responsible for much of the importantdevelopment work on multi-cavity klystrons and resonant coupled
cavity output in the 1960s, which enabled increased efficiency andwider bandwidths to be achieved. Markets are wide ranging andinclude military airborne radar, CW tubes for Satcom and highpower linear accelerators for scientific research and medicalapplications.
TMD makes the worlds only electro-statically focused klystron(ESFK), developed during the 1960s, which is at the heart of theRapier Short Range Air Defence System (SHORADS). Currentdevelopments include new BBKs (broad band klystrons) for airborneradar and very high power tubes for particle accelerators.

Fundemental differencebetween multi cavity, reflex and two cavity kylstron
Klystron can act as both an amplifier and oscillator whereas areflex klystron can act as only an oscillator.klystron needs a
buncher cavity(sometimes multiple bunchers) and a catchercavity whereas a reflex klystron needs only one cavity.klystronbunches electrons in forward direction, whereas the otherbunches in the reverse direction using a reflector plate.klystronneeds i/p signal(accelerating or deccelerating potential)
whereas the other dont.Multi cavity Kylstron brings more gainand responsive adjust to the frequency.
