Education

Multicultural Education relates to education and instruction designed for the cultures of several different races in an educational system.

Multicultural EducationIs a structured process designed to foster understanding, acceptance and constructive relations among people of many different cultures. 

Multicultural Educationacknowledges and incorporates positive racial idiosyncrasies into classroom atmosphere.

Cons:May increase the resentment encountered by students who feel that changes in school traditions, curriculum, and academic standards are not necessary to get along and respect students from ethnic minorities.  

They say that we are more alike than different. We should focus on the similarities and not the differences to achieve greater equanimity among races.

Principle 1:

Professional development programs should help teachers understand the complex characteristics of ethnic groups and the ways in which race, ethnicity, language and social class interact to influence student behavior.

Schools should create or make salient super ordinate crosscutting group memberships in order to improve intergroup relations.

Salad It allows us to focus both on the

differences in the ingredients while at the same time the beauty of the

whole. A good salad does not have a bunch of components that look, taste

or have the same texture. The success of the salad depends not

only on its looks but also on a lot of other factors including the taste, the

freshness of the ingredients, the smells, the textures and the mixture

itself.
