Site Visit/Data Analysis

• Media Manager filing methods

• Numerical data was in hardcopy format

• Inconsistent use of technology tools

• 3 years of historical data

• Some data collected by other departments

• Spill record issues: Type and units

• Data correlation

NAS JRB Willow Grove EMS Metrics

Action Items

• Amend ROICC contracts and develop procedure• Develop methodology for tracking waste in each area• Track costs avoided by implementation of

environmental programs• Establish solid waste costs to justify recycling of glass

and plastic• Develop methodology for ensuring that the numbers are

automatically entered into EnviroManager• Affirmative Procurement• Reclassification of waste stream: Lamps managed as a

universal wastes.

Next Steps

• Data Management

• EQA Report

• Refine system

• Automate data collection

• Audit scheduled for last week of May
