• Why does the circle area formula work ?

• How do you measure the area of a circle?

Process

• First we coloured half the circle • Then we cut the circles • Then we placed the cut up circle in a rectangle

shape• Then we learnt how to measure the area.

Challenge

• We found it hard to understand the explanation

• We also found out it was hard to make the right shape

Solution

Circle cut and glued in to a rectangle shape
